Anais & Mirabelle Lee

FOUNDERS & CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICERS

Anais and Mirabelle Lee are actresses, models, writers, and freshmen at Stanford University born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Anais and Mirabelle have always had a deep passion for writing and literature and have seen the impact it has made on their lives and their family’s life. The sisters are co-founders of Black Writers of Tomorrow, a writing community organization that fosters the education and creative efforts the next generation of Black writers. They are also one of the founding members of the Golden State Readers, a student-led advocacy group who’s mission is to fight against the issue of book bans. They started this foundation in honor of their great-great-grandmother in hopes to spread the love of literature to students all over the world.

Abigail Assefa

CO-DIRECTOR OF DEVELOPMENT

Abby Assefa is a freshman at UCLA and an aspiring entrepreneur who lives in the Coachella Valley. She loves to lend a helping hand to her peers and community and was eager to join The Beatrice Martin Foundation because she believes that each and every child should have an equal opportunity to receive education. With her role as the Director of Development, she will work with her peers to execute the foundation’s mission and create a long lasting impact for students from Beatrice Martin.

Faith Bryant

MEDIA & COMMUNICATIONS DIRECTOR

Faith Bryant is an actress, model, and freshman at UT Austin aspiring to make a difference in her community. Born and raised in Houston, Texas, she has always had a burning passion for literature and writing. The Beatrice Martin Foundation and its mission immediately piqued her interest as she believes literature and knowledge to be one of the most powerful resources for youth to access in order to further their future endeavors. As media and communications director, she hopes to spread the foundation’s vision of enhancing the educational opportunities available to students.

Lily Jones

CO-DIRECTOR OF DEVELOPMENT

Lily Jones is a freshman at UCLA and an aspiring writer from the Coachella Valley. She has loved reading and writing from a very young age, and she also has a passion for volunteering and helping others. Lily understands and values the importance of literacy which is why the mission of The Beatrice Martin Foundation is so important to her. As Director of Development, she aspires to advocate for literacy and bring the joy of reading to many students through The Beatrice Martin Foundation.

Kristina Panagiotaros

CHAPTER DIRECTOR

Kristina Panagiotaros is a freshman at UC Irvine from the Coachella Valley. Born in Chicago, Kristina has always loved English class and reading outside of school. She is passionate about helping children all over the nation get the chance to have an education. With her role as Chapter Coordinator, she can do just that by helping establish chapters across multiple locations in the country.

Paris Sanchez

NEWS TEAM DIRECTOR

Paris Sanchez is a student who hopes to encourage more individuals to see the beauty that literature has to offer. Born in Virginia, she takes pride in her Mexican-American heritage. The mission of the Beatrice Martin Foundation immediately caught her attention because of its commitment to making literature accessible to all. She firmly believes that literature's wonders should be within everyone's reach, promoting a fair chance for all to embrace its beauty. She is thrilled to be part of the journey and mission to amplify the message of The Beatrice Martin Foundation. As the News Team Director, her aim is to keep spreading the message and shed more light on the foundation's mission to gain more individuals' attention to the foundation's mission.
